PPJ #9: Jeremiah

What Went Right:
I feel that as I was working on the project, I was able to push out pixel art sprites and concepts that I am proud of and help depict the overall art style of our game.
As one of the project leads, I felt that I was able to communicate well and effectively with other members of the team. I’m glad I was able to lead alongside Jess, and I’m grateful for the team members and the work we were able to do.
We were making a lot of narrative choices that I’m really proud of overall, and the overall aesthetic of our game has come a long way from the start.
What Went Wrong:
I feel that we had a lot of plans and we over-scoped, which led to us taking longer to work on certain things.
There were moments when it was hard to get all of the team together, for multiple reasons, so scheduling meets and when things needed to get done were difficult.
Our gameplay was the hardest part to make work and attract to players, and I feel that was due to time constraints and having less focus on the gameplay overall.
Lessons Learned:
Communication always reminds us how important it is in projects to have between team members.
Prioritizing what needs to be handled first should be tackled immediately so we don’t work on things out of order.
Managing time is important and making sure to give yourself time for working on tasks, and not overworking so you don’t make yourself sick or unwell.
