Positive: What went right for your team this week?
Having two meetings really helped us figure out the pixel size we needed (64x64) and what we wanted to have for this week’s build.
Negative: What went wrong for you and your team this week?
Once again, we struggled to meet our internal deadlines for an updated build and playtesting. Even though we discussed priorities in our meetings and I updated the project manager accordingly, some of us were still confused about who was doing what and how it needed to be done. It was frustrating, especially since we agreed on these deadlines and then failed to meet them several times. Personally, I did not get to work on as much as I wanted to for the website, due to other coursework. I also wanted to do UI assets for dialogue and the main menu, but also failed to find time to work on it.
Upcoming:
I want to dedicate a good chunk of time to redesigning the website and creating our team logo. Also, I want to start making those UI assets so we don’t have placeholder textboxes for dialogue. I know the trailer is coming up, so I will be prepping for the rough draft and exploring different editing styles to see what the team likes. Finally, I want to try and help get some audio in the game because, up to this point, it's been completely silent, and there needs to be some sort of sound.
