Tasks Completed:

  • Updated player movement controller to have better setup for colliders (1 hour)

  • Added idle animation sprites to the project and set it up with player mechanics (1 hour)

  • Set up the rest of the player animation controller to include functionality for sprite animations that will later be added (1 hour)

  • Set up initial weapon/attack functionality (2 hours)

I was able to implement the animations and be prepared for future animations to be implemented which should save us some time in the long run which was good.

It has been a really hectic week for me and a lot of school work went longer than I anticipated so I wish I got to the my work earlier. I also ran into a bunch of little issues throughout working on this that I didn't include in my hours so that didn't give me a ton of time to actually make more visible changes to the game.

Upcoming: What you are working on next?

I'm planning on working on the other player mechanics more such as weapons/attack/health
