PPJ #5: Tristan


Tristan West, PPJ #5 (August 1, 2024)

Tasks Completed:

  • Troubleshooting issues relating to incorporating Bakery plugin into the project repository (4 hours)

  • Troubleshooting other various Git-workflow related issues (2 hours)

  • Writing the scene manager class (2 hours)

  • Rewriting the scripting for stuffed animal enemy damage taken (30 mins)

Total Time Worked This Week: 8 hours 30 mins

Positive:

  • Really built up my knowledge of the scene managment and data serialization features of Unity

  • Feels like every week I learn a new strategy for handling merges in git that I didn't know before

Negative:

  • Sunk a lot of time trying to version control the assets coming from the proprietary Bakery plugin, seemingly to no avail

  • Git workflow issues continue to be a thorn in our side, taking away from time I could spend working on the game itself

Upcoming:

  • Make combat more satisfying

  • Line up animation transitions a bit better with character actions

  • Add juice to various aspects of the game (got some stuff in the works)

  • Bug fixes
